Funds raised for the Billy’s Lake Project
Well done and thank you, David!
On the 20th April David Benjamin (2nd from right) and friends began the 3 Peaks Challenge – Ben Nevis (1344 mtrs, highest mountain in Scotland and Britain), Scafell Pike (978mtrs) and Snowden (1085mtrs).
David raised an amazing £335.18 for the Billy’s Lake Project. Thanks to Lainey who sponsored David with April’s bookstall takings of £131.68 too.
As well as working at B&Q Havant, David also works at Off the Record in Havant where he runs the Duke of Edinburgh Awards for 14-24 year olds. (https://www.dofe.org/).
We will be using the money to build a fish refuge with local children! This will allow fish to spawn, hide from predating birds and take shade. It will also encourage invertebrates and vegetation on top of the refuge.
