‘Book Bugs’ Club Story Time & Nature Activity at Billy’s Lake

This FREE event is brought to you by Waterlooville Library and the Acorn Community Centre.

Children of all ages welcome, children under 14 to be accompanied by an adult. Free parking available at Southdown View Carpark PO76BJ. Please meet in the carpark by 10:30am.

As this activity is outdoors please dress for the weather and bring a blanket or something to sit on. There are no public toilets on site.

Under 16’s Fishing Workshop at Billy’s Lake.

Fancy trying your hand at fishing? Come along to our workshop.

Titles to be won for best fish and most fish landed.

If you’ve never fished before, come and give it a go! Experienced anglers on hand to help you.

Hot drinks and biscuits provided for a small donation.

Social Media Awareness Evening

This event is a partnership between Cowplain Community School and
the Acorn Centre with the aim of supporting parents in the Wecock area around issues involving social media.

With guests from the local area and the charity ‘Beat the
Bullies’, we will be looking at the challenges faced by young people in an increasingly online world.

Come and get some advice, chat to other parents and discuss smart
and simple ways to protect your children from the harmful effects of
social media.

Free buffet to all who attend. Wed 29th June 5.30pm – 7pm at the
Acorn Centre.

IT One-to-One Sessions

Basic Computer Skills
9AM – 12noon. One to one basic computer skills sessions. An hour of one to one tuition covering what you want to learn whether it be connecting to the internet, job searching, creating documents or any basic computer issues/needs. Booking is essential.
